Caroline Rymer, LICSW, LCSW
I specialize in working with children over 7 as well as females of all ages, including new mothers and college students. I help people struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship struggles, low self-esteem, and stress/pressure. My approach to therapy is client-centered, meaning I strive to understand where the strengths of a person are and how their mind communicates.
My sessions are collaborative, explorative, and educational. I believe establishing a genuine connection with people motivates helpful change.
I was born in Westchester, NY, before moving to Washington, D.C. for college. I received a
double major in History and Psychology from The Catholic University of America. I graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, with my Master of Social Work in May 2020. My prior work experience was in private practice in D.C., working with women with mood disorders and college students of D.C.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring Richmond’s coffee shops and walking along the James River! I provide telehealth, in-person, and walk-and-talk sessions out of the Richmond office.
