What We Do
Parenting with Positive Discipline Class
Do you feel like you need a parenting re-set after the summer with your young child? Would you like a solid framework and easy-to-use tools to help increase cooperation and decrease frustration in your household? Join me for an 8-week Parenting With Positive Discipline class to learn how to have more joy and less struggle in your home! This class is designed for parents and caregivers of preschool/kindergarten age children (2.5-6 years old). We will discuss what is developmentally typical behavior and misbehavior, and how we can shift how we respond to these behaviors as parents and caregivers.
Topics:
Being kind and firm
Inviting cooperation
Addressing belief behind the behavior
Building connection before correction
Focusing on solutions
Handling tantrums
Implementing routine charts
Empowering vs. enabling
Seeing mistakes as opportunities to learn
